| International Opportunities for Europeans | | | FP7 actively seeks to encourage multi-disciplinary research and cooperative activities involving two or more countries in Europe and around the world. It provides full funding for researchers and research organizations in EU member states, associate countries and International Cooperation Partner Countries.- Associated countries include those who have made a contribution to the FP7 budget (Israel and Switzerland), have negotiated full participation through their membership in the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or through their status as candidate or pre-candidate countries (Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey).
- International Cooperation Partner Countries are developing nations that have signed agreements with the European Union (including Brazil, China, India and Russia).
Researchers and research organizations in industrialized “third countries” – such as Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Japan – are invited to participate on a self-financing basis. There are, however, a number of specific funding opportunities for which researchers and research organizations in such “third countries” are eligible (please see European Opportunities for Canadians (below)).For the latest news and calls for proposals in FP7, please visit: http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/home_en.html | | |
